Greetings all!!!
I, along with three other young adult Catholics, have started an spiritual adventure that will put us in line with our Bishop here in Toledo as possibly the only other people who may have done this. We are going to visit every Parish in the 19-county Diocese of Toledo to get an idea of how other Parishes do and also will give us a chance to reflect on our faith during our adventures with Christ.
To give you an idea of the spiritual adventure awaiting us, there are 131 Parishes in an Diocesan Territory 8,222 square miles. Anyone who may know about our Diocese knows this is a large amount of territory - from approximately Bryan, Ohio to Lima, Ohio, and out to Mansfield, Ohio. We are figuring this may take at least two years if we plan things right.
We all have commitments at our home Parish of St. Adalbert & St. Hedwig in Toledo (three of us are Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, I, myself, am a Lector and a Choir Member, the other being an altar server). Along the way, we hope to visit various Catholic Shrines in the Diocese such as the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, Ohio and Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, Ohio.

We are also open to suggestions on other areas to visit in the Diocese of Toledo if anyone would happen to know of any.
As of today, November 26, we will have visited 5 of 131 Parishes - it’s a long way to go, but with God - all things are possible.
