"Rocky" part 6- due out in theaters Dec. 22

I’ll admit it, I want to see it. 😛 My older brother is such a fan of the Rocky movies and I grew up watching the videos again and again on Saturday afternoons. I guess a lot of people would wish he would just let it die but I’m curious to see what the movie will offer at least. I don’t know though, my least favorite was “Rocky 5” so we’ll see what happens.

What do you guys think? Any fans here?

Yeahhh I am curious and want to see it. :o I do admire his ability to keep in such good shape at his age. Especially were I am not far behind.

Although I’m really looking forward to Rocky 8. I can see Stallone and his opponent tossing bed pans at each other from thier respective corners. But the music will probably be good.
 
Yes, it should be interesting to see. Being from South Philadelphia, I have been a fan of the movies (they actually did some filming at a restaurant in my neighborhood for this one). The original was the best, of course. Part 2 was very good also, and Part 3 with Mr T was fun. The last two were the weakest, I think.

Stallone is looking pretty good at 60.
Hope I’ll be in that kind of shape at 60!

I will surely watch the 6th one, if only for the sake of it being a Rocky movie, and because I’m such a fan of the first one. The first is one of my favorite movies. I watch it all the time.

I hope 6 is better than 5; that was the worst one.
 
Oh I hope Sly can bring back something that has some ‘magic’ again.

As a Philly girl I just can’t help but root for Rocky. The first movie just had me in tears. By Rocky IV, only my love for Philly kept me watching.

Anyhoo, if my Star Trek could pull off the halfway decent VI after the mediocre V. . .maybe Rocky can too!

😃 I’m actually wondering what Sly can do this time to his character; I mean, he’s around 50 or so? no boxer who’s active today in that age bracket, let alone still fight so well. But it would be a testament to Sly’s condition if he can convince people his character’s half his age–I am sure he is still in condition, if he is regular with his workouts.

As for real boxing, the Pacquiao-Morales fight is on this November 18 (i made a thread here somewhere). Now that’s a match that will give Rocky a run for his money. 👍
 
Glad to see I’m not the only one. 🙂 The first is the best one, of course. I always cry at the end of all of them. Well, the first 4 anyway. The music in all of them can’t be beat. Makes me actually want to go work out, lol.

I don’t know how it’s going to be without Adrian though. She seems like kind of an essential supporting character.
 
Does Rocky have to use a “walker” in this one when he fights?

My mom, step-dad, dd (2 yrs old), dd’s dad, and I are going to see this Wednesday afternoon. We all want to see it (well dd may not, but she doesn’t have a say) on opening day. I LOVED the first one. However, being in Chicago, I’ll be disappointed leaving the theatre b/c I’m sure I’ll have a craving for a Philly Cheesesteak (like I always do when watching Rocky) and well, I’m in Chicago.

Anyone from Philly, does Gino’s or Pat’s have a frozen dilivery package that I can order to be sent out this way?
