I don’t think there can be much doubt that Roe vs Wade has contributed to the moral decay of our country including the spred of pornography. In addition to allowing abortion on demand Roe has led to the debate about prevention. Many of the practices that our secular friends have been able to put into place e.g. passing out contraceptives in high schools (sometimes before a big dance or event), explicit sex education (even in some grade schools), allowing school couselors (in California) to send a minor girls to the doctor without parental consent all carry a subliminal message that sex, under certain circumstances is OK and you don’t need anyone’s permission to engage in it. More recently the ACLU has been successful in making sure that library’s cannot block access to XXX sites on the internet, cute huh! Well it is free speach. All of this, in my opinion, cultivates promiscuity which feeds into the pop culture that is producing fashions for teens and our movies and our videos. Sure, it’s not the only influence but I believe it is one of the biggies.I disagree with the premise of this article.
Yes, the Roe decision has contributed immensely to the moral decay of our society, but I do not believe that the increase of pornography on the internet and “sleazy images” in movies and TV can be directly attributed to the legalization of abortion – they are the result of a society that has been numbed and needs something more “edgy” to get its kicks. Compare Bela Lugosi’s Dracula and Rosemary’s Baby, and you get the same progression.
In addition, I think the argument that an “expectation of bad behavior” motivates politicians to risk children’s health by using an unproven HPV vaccine is a somewhat flawed one, too.
The point made above, that Merck stands to make a fortune if this bill is passed, is important to note. It’d be interesting to see how much money Merck contributed to the legislators who authored and voted for it.

Quite some time ago I read an English study which demonstrated that many mental health problems among children have a correlation to the prior abortions of the mothers. It makes sense.Abortion side effects…about 50 million abortions since Roe
But the article above draws a direct correlation between the two. A post hoc ergo propter hoc argument (i.e., pornography exploded on the internet after abortion was legalized; therefore, the two are causally related) like that will sound to the undecided and the pro-choicers like a desperate attempt to justify opposing abortion, and it weakens the credibility of other, more rational, arguments.I don’t think there can be much doubt that Roe vs Wade has contributed to the moral decay of our country including the spred of pornography. I get your point but I believe there is a correlation by time…the rise of all this stuff has occurred roughly since abortion was legalized. I’m not saying it is the direct cause but I do think it has dulled societies senses and promoted the growth of bad books, movies, videos, magazines and behavior. But the article above draws a direct correlation between the two. This study would have to suppose that the mother told the child/ren that she had had an abortion. I would imagine that most women that have an abortion do not tell her other children that she did it.Quite some time ago I read an English study which demonstrated that many mental health problems among children have a correlation to the prior abortions of the mothers. It makes sense.
The children know that murdering their siblings was wrong.
They therefore have trust barriers and unresolveable conflict with the person on whom they rely for the necessities of life.
They also have a sense of endless forboding about when the axe is going to fall on them.
And a sense of confusion about how they themselves might ‘cause’ that axe to fall.
Not really. Normally I would provide a link, but I lost that one during my computer crash last year.More likely, the study showed that the mothers had mental health problems, and those were passed to the children.
I have to agree. The abortion alone did not cause the children’s mental health problems. It may have added to it, but it wasn’t the cause. Most likely, the mother was unbalanced to begin with and the children inherited her condition genetically or was affected by her erratic behavior prior to and after the abortion. The abortion alone wasn’t the only problem.More likely, the study showed that the mothers had mental health problems, and those were passed to the children.
Could be that the mental health problems were associated with the abortion. In which case they were not ‘handed down’ but taught.I have to agree. I don’t think the mental health problem were caused PRIMARILY by the abortion. The were mental health problems before the abortion, otherwise an abortion would not have occurred.Could be that the mental health problems were associated with the abortion. A woman who kills her unborn child may be perfectly stable but simply uninformed. On the basis of that disinformation, she may make a decision for a permanent ‘solution’ to a temporary ‘problem.’I don’t think the mental health problem were caused PRIMARILY by the abortion. The were mental health problems before the abortion, otherwise an abortion would not have occurred.
A woman who kills her unborn child is not stable to start with…
Pre-existing problems plural. We all have problems. It is human to have problems. But problems have solutions.I agree that abortion increases mental instability. I still stand by my belief that a woman who has an abortion has a pre-existing problem prior to the abortion.
Good for them. Contrary to the article people are abandoning their pro-abortion stance all over the place because of science. All of it is breaking in support of anti-abortion aruguments.Abortion article in Independent Newspaper 16th.April:-
Crisis due to National Health Service doctors refusing to perform abortions and they are having to pay the Private Sector to do it with my taxes.
