Romans 3:29-30 Justified "on their faith" vs. "through faith"

Romans 3:29-30 (RSV)
Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith.

What does St. Paul mean here by saying the Jews will be justified on the ground of their faith as opposed to the Gentiles being justified through their faith.

In fact the KJV says:
Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Is is talking about how the faith was delivered to them, or how they came to faith, or does faith operate differently in different people, or was it the Jews faith, the Jews born into it, and the Gentiles have to accept it?

Paul is talking about the same faith for both Gentile and Jew.
Paul is making a point to the Jews, that they are saved by faith as opposed to works of the law. He just worded it differently because the Gentiles didn’t think that they were saved by circumcision and the works of the law, just through faith.
But the Jews were the ones that had an issue of how they were saved, so Paul states very clearly that it is by faith, apart from works of the law that they will be saved.
