With our shortage of priests here in South Australia and many Churches being closed because of it and our parishes hence getting larger and larger…it is getting very hard to get to a Church - as it is for me. I am hoping I just might come across some kind person who might give me a lift.
Meanwhile, I spend time in front of my little oratory for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and all walks of life…I am sure the Lord understands with absolute confidence as if I were in Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament…my spirit is there…

I think this repeats a request made by Rome several years ago. At that time our diocese decided that perpetual adoration in individual churches was not practical. Therefore they arranged for each parish in the diocese to have adoration one day a month. That way the diocese has perpetual adoration.

The results have been good. We are holding our level on the number of priests. We have nearly as many ordinations each year as the much larger, adjacent archdiocese.

Our former auxilliary bishop, Bishop Driscoll, was sufficiently impressed by the results that he instituted the same practice in Boise when he became the ordinary there.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary
