Hi all,
I was at work tonight in a waaaaaay-too protestant christian bookstore (well, mainly southern baptist, help me!) when a girl came in and asked for a copy of a Catholic prayer book. I was like, “thank you God for sending a Catholic in here!” It had actually been the second Catholic to come in looking for something in two days. Unfortunately this time I could not help her because we didn’t have the book.
We spoke for a few moments and she had just gotten back from WYD '05 where she had volunteered. I think that is awesome, and told her so. Then before she left, she gave me a plastic rosary that was blessed by Pope Benedict XVI. Isn’t that awesome? I was so excited, but couldn’t begin to express it. I hope she knows deep down how much I appreciate what she did for me. I wish I could see her again just to tell her.
