Rosary decade every hour?

Would it make sense to pray a decade of the holy rosary each hour of the day? That way I would be able to say the whole rosary! Thanks in advance!

With a plenary indulgence for the Rosary is obtained, then 1/3 (5 decades) is sufficient when done continuously. So that shows the ideal pattern.

Sure, you can pray the Rosary any way you want. I’d be far too scattered myself doing it that way. I do 15 mysteries at the same time every day.

On really busy days I’ll say a decade here and a decade there.
But whatever works, you’re still talking to Our Lady.

awesome. I pray the rosary everyday, 5 decades. Never at the same time. I wish I was as disciplined as you! I’m missing out on much grace by not praying more too. What works for you, morning, night ?
I usually end up praying right before bed, and alot of times have to drag myself there it seems.

Well, with your “decade-per-hour” strategy, doin’ the math, it works out that you would actually cover a little more than one full rosary each day:

(24 hour / day) x (1 decade / 1 hour) x (1 mystery / 5 decade) x (1 rosary / 4 mystery)
= 1.2 rosary / day.

But some people might want to reserve some time for sleep, etc…

Also if you buckle down it only takes twenty minutes.

unless you’re my mother who tacks on 10 different prayers and intentions at both the beginning and end.
