Rosary: Fatima Prayer at the 1st Mystery, or not?

I have seen it both ways (ie, it is said on the 1st Mystery and it is not said).
  1. Is there an official way?
  2. Is either way wrong?

Nope, there isn’t an official way (since the Fatima Prayer was of course not originally a part of the Rosary - I’ve heard recordings of Fr. Patrick Peyton saying the rosary which omits the prayer), though based from my own experience I think that saying the prayer at the end of every mystery is much more common.
 
I have always said the Fatima prayer before I recite the Apostles’Creed.🤷
 
I have been taught to pray the Fatima prayer at the end of each mystery. I was told, this is why:
In her second apparition at Fatima, June 13, 1917, Our Lady taught the three shepherd children to add this ejaculation after each decade of the Rosary.

I agree with asia53 on this one. But I also agree that there is no “official way” of saying the Rosary.
 
Just for clarity,is this question about the phrase"Oh,My Jesus,forgive me my sin,etc…OR this prayer,which is the one I thought you meant:Queen of the Holy Rosery,you deemed to come to Fatima,to reveal to the three shepard children the treasures of graced hidden in the rosary,etc…The former,is to be recited at the end of each decade,the latter,before even beginning the rosary.🙂
 
Growing up in the 1950’s around here, we never said the Fatima Prayer and were not taught it in school either. I think it started out as a regional thing and spread throughout the succeeding decades here in the US. I never heard it until I heard Mother Angelica praying it!
