I was going through my parents estate and found the pictured Rosary. I was wondering if anyone can identify it or suggest a blog or website that may be of help?
It is very robust with large wooden beads that appear to be ebony. The chain links appear to be made to last as they are brass and very well constructed. The crucifix is brass with an ebony inset. I was able to ascertain this by looking at similar but different crucifixes online.
The inscriptions on the medallion reads as far as I can see as it is well worn: Regina Sacri Scapularis Ora Pro Nobis, on one side and on the other: Su Miseri Cordia.
My father was in WW2 Canadian army in Europe and I was wondering, because it’s so well made, if it’s a military rosary.
Any help is appreciated.
I have tried to upload pics, but being a new user I am unable to.
