Rosary not broken all the way? Still bury?

I have a lovely Rosary from a really nice church in Dublin. It was blessed and is very special to me. The Crucifix has broken off from the first bead. However, like most Rosaries, the metal chain link is just opened up too much and this is causing the Crucifix to come off it.

Should I repair the Crucifix? Or should I bury the entire Rosary? Is any “strengthening” of the Rosary allowed, such as renforcincg the chain links?
 
Yes, you can have the rosary repaired and/or strengthened. You do not need to bury/burn/melt it unless it is no longer able to be used.
