Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me with a question about the Rosary. I can honestly say that I have only said the Rosary a few times, however, I feel a calling to do so. I would like to know when to say a specific mystery, etc.

Is there anyone that can recommend a site or book that I can read to learn this? I would appreciate it.

Thank you and God Bless.

This is my favorite site…

rosary-center.org/howto.htm

There are also plenty of cd’s and dvd’s available, to help you get started in how to pray the Rosary. If you get EWTN in your area… they air the Rosary several times a day. You can check their listings… and pray along. It’s a great help, in getting started (my fav is the Rosary… with Mother Angelica and the Nuns; and also with Fr. Pacwa, in the Holy Land).

God bless you. 🙂

You can say the Mysteries you choose, since it’s a private devotion or you can say the Mysteries as they’ve been handed down via tradition (Mon. and Thurs. - Joyful, Tues. and Fri. - Sorrowful, Wed. Sat. and Sun. - Glorious) or including the Luminous Mysteries (Mon. and Sat. - Joyful, Tues. and Fri. - Sorrowful, Wed. and Sun. - Glorious, Thurs - Luminous). Your choice.😉

Yea, that is pretty cool. I tend to include the Luminous Mysteries myself, it seems more complete that way.

Also, there is no time restriction on saying it either; you could also just pray a single decade a day, and meditating on that throughout the day, maybe look at the relevent Scripture reading, and really meditate on what He is trying to show you about His life. It is quite a nice and relaxing way, if you have the patience.
