A few years ago, Marian Devotee and Filipino-Chinese Tycoon George Ty, donated Php100 million to build a Catholic Church in Nanjing City in China. It is now considered the most beautiful Church in China. An image of Mama Mary Mediatrix was made for it measuring about 8feet in height. A Carmelite Sister from Lipa Carmel made a rosary for the said image and when it was brought to China it was found that the rosary was too long. They decided to have the oversized rosary placed on the image’s two hands.

Not long after, a petal was found by the Carmelite nuns of Lipa. It had an imprint of Mama Mary Mediatrix and they noticed that the rosary it was holding was not the usual seen on the original image (hanging on its right hand). It held the rosary on both hands. They then believed that it is a sign of approval from Our Lady, Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace in Nanjing, China.

‘The text of the declaration of the Bishops of the Philippines, published on 11 April 1951, is as follows:
“We, the undersigned Archbishops and bishops, constituting for the purpose a special Commission, having attentively examined and reviewed the evidence and testimonies collected in the course of repeated, long and careful investigations, have reached the unanimous conclusion and hereby officially declare that the above mentioned evidence and testimonies exclude any supernatural intervention in the reported extraordinary happenings-including the shower of petals - at the Carmel of Lipa.”; This declaration is the official communication of the final decision on the matter, as approved by the Holy See.’

What many have been asking for is now finally clarified by the Holy See. The official communication of the final decision on the matter, as approved by the Holy See (italics mine), is the April 11, 1951 declaration.
