And because you can only install the software twice, it will become unusable over time. So even if we thought RS was fabulous, after five years or so, we’d have to replace the program, we go through computers rather quickly with nine users in the house. We are researching Pimsleur and the Latin programs mentioned, among others. Thanks again and have a good day.

I forgot to mention that. You can install it on 2 computers at once. If you want to move it from one computer to the next, you need to deactivate the software, call Rosetta Stone, and give them the deactivation code (Which gives you another “seat” on their server to install it again).

Recently, I had my computer crash (so I wasn’t able to deactivate Rosetta Stone). It was like I was under an FBI investigation to get them to let me reinstall it (several days, multiple calls, multiple “escalations” and they keep quizzing me about what happened, why is happened, etc).

Also, they are not available at all times. Monday through Friday, you get India, and those people are basically worthless. “Did you reboot your computer?” “Yes. I need a new seat.” “Ok, we are going to reboot your computer. Click the Windows button…” They just follow a script. You have to call at certain times (which I haven’t quite figured out) to get someone in the USA, and they are the only ones that can help you if you have a problem. No help on the weekends (they are open but can’t deactivate the software).

Ugg… I wish I could get my money back…
