Rosie blows up at Barbara Walters

I had been a little disheartened that the ratings for the View were up since Rosie’s hiring, because I had thought that hiring Rosie would finally be the thing that got the show cancelled, since she’s such a, ahem, opinionated activist and ultimately a loose cannon.

Seems it was only a matter of time:

I haven’t been closely following this story, but I am appalled at the completely childish behavior of both Rosie and Trump. This feud is just getting ridiculous.

I’m with you on hoping she causes the show to get cancelled. It would be lovely and peaceful not to have to ever hear about Rosie O’Donnel or The View again…
 
Ratings are up because everyone likes to witness a train wreck.

I actually read a similar story on my local news website this morning, nbc4.com.

Anyway, I agree this is getting out of hand. They should just have a celebrity boxing match and get it overwith.

10 bucks on Rosie.
 
Because of that awful Rosie person, the view is now in contention with The Jerry Springer Show for ‘monster truck’ status tv show.
O’Donnell started this entire mess and should just shut-up and let The Donald hang himself in the court of public opinion if he keeps going after her verbally.
If I were Barbara Walters, I would fire O’Donnell just as she hired her, ratings or no ratings.
But as long as the ratings are up and the money pours in, apparently good taste doesn’t matter a hoot.
Why am I not surprised? :rolleyes:

Think that says more about the viewers than the juveniles on the program (and that includes Donald.) Grow up, people.
 
I actually liked The View when it started, but it’s really turned into something I’m not interested in in the least. I was shocked when Barbara Walters hired HER to be on the show, I really thought Barbara had more class than that.

Seems to me there ought to be some way of shipping Rosie O’Donnell to some small island in the center of the South Atlantic somewhere.

I’m no big fan of the Donald, either, but at least he isn’t as repulsively viscous as Rosie is. (shudder)

Same here. I used to watch it sometimes over the summers when I was in high school. Lisa Ling was on, and it was a better show.

This is what I don’t understand. How can you go from Lisa Ling who is a well-spoken dignified journalist to sloppy, blabber mouth Rosie O’Donnell?

I don’t understand it, either. Lisa did a good job at bringing in the younger crowd…Rosie, on the other hand, is doing a good job at bringing in the Jerry Springer crowd.
 
If I want to be entertained, I watch Jerry Springer or The View. If I want news, it’s Fox or CNN.
