Roy Khan (ex-Kamelot) comes out of retirement with a new single...and it's Christian!

I think there are a few people here who are familiar with Kamelot. Roy Khan was their vocalist until 2011 when he left the music industry altogether. Apparently, the rumors were true and he did have some sort of conversion experience, because he is back with a new song, and it’s Christian.

I’m pumped because he has long been one of my favorite vocalists. To hear him singing about God is even better!

It’s a nice, mellow song.

That’s pretty awesome. I enjoy a number of Kamelot songs, despite their negative aspects.

It’s great to hear that he’s had a conversion.

very nice! thanks for sharing. i have no idea who Kamelot is or Roy Khan, but his voice is beautiful and calming. i like the song. hope he will put out more Christian music!

Yeah, Kamelot is a symphonic heavy metal band. So they aren’t most people’s cup of tea. But I’ve always thought he has an amazing voice, musical genres aside.

I have also seen stuff online saying that Khan is reuniting with Conception (the band that he was in before Kamelot) and that they are planning on releasing a new EP this fall. I’m curious to see if the new songs will be explicitly Christian like this one is. They did often use religious imagery in the past. I’ve always thought “Flow” was a great album. Hold On is still one of my all time favorite ballads.
