Rumors that I have been bullied?

There’s a rumour doing the rounds that I have been bullied and prefer to be alone.

People do not understand kindness when they see it. I don’t know what to do. Pray for me and so will pray for you.

Any advice?
 
Do you mean that people are leaving you alone when you would rather be with them, because of this rumor?

If so perhaps you can make some kind of announcement to the same effect as your post here. A bulletin board notice perhaps.

Or you might just walk up to someone and say: Hey, can I talk with you a minute? I know there’s a rumor going round that I want to be alone, and I think people are avoiding me because of that. I’d like you to know that actually I’d rather meet people, spend time with them."

Something like that.

Where is this rumour? Is it in your family? In tour group of friends? At work? At school?..

I dont know what you can do except correct people and say the truth (if you feel you need to otherwise you could.just ignore it and wait for the rumour to go away and offer any annoyances and irritations from it to God…

If you can track the rumour back e.g ask someone who told them, and then ask that person who told them then you may find who started it and you could ask them why ?..
 
All you can do is dispel the rumor by saying the truth. It doesn’t have to be a big announcement. Start with your friends, then move on to others when you have the chance. For example, if you have to do a group project, you can make it clear early on to the classmates in your group that you like working with others, you’re not a loner, etc.
