Russian city observes 'week without abortion' as country battles population crisis (CNA)

They lose 70% of their little children to abortion? For every three young Russians alive, there are seven dead, then. Meanwhile, one woman in 12 is made infertile by abortion. 😦
Will this “week without abortion” make any difference in how the parent-age people see the evil of abortion?
 
A week without abortion?

Maybe they should make it a regular practice, like Friday abstinence from meat.

For one week, let’s take a break from aborting our nation out of existence. Then we can go back to the usual.

It sounds like a piece of science fiction from the 50’s, now come true. But, the U.S. is headed the same direction. And now we’ve elected the most pro-abortion president ever.

Does every nation have a death wish?

Backfiguring from the numbers in the article, that means more like 15.5% of Western European pregnancies end in abortion.

Anybody know the figure for America? Or do I even want to know… 😦

This culture really is one of the sickest in recent history. God have mercy on us all.

It’s now 22% for America, which is lower than it used to be. It’s been over 1/4 in recent decades.
If a woman uses no BC at all and has a fairly active sex life she will conceive after eight months or so typically – four if she’s trying to. BC usually cuts that to one-thirtieth, so one conception every 20 years. That adds up to about 1.7 babies conceived. If she aborts 7/10, that’s a 1.17 fertility rate. Replacement is 2.1, so that’s around 55% of replacement. If those who survive to birth have an average life expectancy of 80, as in the USA, with a replacement birthrate suppose there are 50 people over 80, 75 at 60-80, 85 at 40-60, 90 at 20-40, and 100 at 0-20. With 55% replacement, that would make 50 over 80, 48 at 60-80, 47 at 40-60, 50 at 20-40, and 55 at 0-20. In the first scenario, the average age is about 44. In the second, it’s 49 give or take. In the first, the population is 400. In the second it’s 250. That’s after three to four generations of abortion rates like that. Every 80 years the population would drop by about a third if that continued. If any natural disaster or war for example reduced the population further it would be in immediate danger of vanishing entirely. 😦
