Responding to Pope Francisâ??s stated desire to meet with Patriarch Kirill whenever the Russian prelate is ready, a spokesman for the Moscow patriarchate criticized the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the largest of the Eastern Catholic churches in full communion with the Holy See.

UGСС recognizes Moscow Patriarchate, and there was never any animosity.
I lived in Lviv for several years. the restaurants, clubs, and cafes, were crowded with happy Russian and Russian-speaking tourists.
Whose media created an image of the Nazis during the last years?
Who created the image as a second-class West-Ukrainians and Russia-Haters?
And the last question - why it was done?
Only now we understand why all this was done.
But after the annexation of the Crimea and other territories also to accuse the churches of a sovereign state in any thing?
God has long been the subject of immoral speculation by those who invoke his name. to serve the most godless of ends.
How many more revolutions do we need to prove that we deserve to live in a more civilized world, Russia is civilization fundamentally different from Europe.
We deserve to live better , Ukraine is potentially one of the worlds most succesful economies , if only big-brother would allow our economy to function as it should.
In cultural sphere , Ukraine has higher literacy rate than even some western countries. We have abundent resources but we sink deeper and deeper into the pit of poverty, just because the monopolies state-robbers-capitalism is totally different from how functions the EU market-economy structures. We want to integrate with european structures, we are not worst than Poland or Romania, the new-members of EU countries which economically were much worst than Ukraine , and today are unrecognizable.
It looks like we are independent from Russia, but may be judicially independent but de-facto we used to be the province of empire from which we want finally to separate.
The Russian Church preach about brotherhood and friendship , but their clergy look differently at all things and do not realize that Ukraine is not Russia.
It is interesting to ask questions to Kiril about the history?
What interpretation he gives to such historical events as; Baturins massacre ? Abolishion of Hetmanate ? Ems Ukaz of 1876 ? What does he think about brother Stalin ? What does he think about Holodomor ? Behind the piety of Yanukovych there were the golden toilet bins and a system that was more like feudalism.
What does he think about ‘‘Euromaidan’’, where young teens were mercilessly and brutally killed?
What does he think about the Russian uniforms in the territory of a sovereign state?
His answers are known in advance.
But I understand he is a man at work, as well as his colleagues were at work in the Soviet times.
On the issue of victims of Russian-speaking people in Donbass and Luhansk , refugees and wounded, it is certainly very painful and very scary, but to whom and why that was necessary? Whose fault is that we have more than a million refugees?
Do Ukrainians invade someone in its sovereign country?

The problem with Father Deacon Volkov’s statement regarding the Greek Catholics vs. the Russian Orthodox in political life is that the RO’s already have a big enough voice. Even in Russia proper, Moscow (government) was notorious for denying visas to Catholic priests, or at least making it extremely difficult, at the influence of Moscow (patriarchate). This especially was true during the patriarchate of Alexy II.
