Hello, I am a new member. I recently received some literature in the mail inviting me to a Revelation bible study seminar. I noticed that the ministry was Amazing Facts. being interested in Scripture, i asked a friend to attend.
After going to 10 meetings, the bomb was finally dropped (according to them), that the Catholic Church is the antichrist. The images on the slide projector were extremely disturbing. Depicting the very Pope as evil. Denigration of The Blessed Mother were particularly hurtful and wrong.
I am having a problem concerning The Sabbath. Here’s my question: Did the Catholic Church change the day from Saturday to Sunday? And if so why?
Also, I would like to know if the 3rd commandment was dropped altogether from the Catholic 10 Commandments? I believe that this is the commandment dealing with idolatry.
Sorry, I got a little long winded, but I am very upset about all of this, and have vehemently defended the veneration of The Blessed Virgin Mary, and The Catholic Church. I need The Catholic Church’s official standing on these matters so I can clear this up.
Thank You So Much,
God Bless You,
George
