Is anyone familiar with this particular study of the NT? Is it Orthodox? Which version of Scripture do they use? I have someone in our parish wondering about it. Any information is appreciated.

Only renowned Theologians with certain specializations are invited to write the Sacra Pagina Bible Series.
( Read the Publishers; remarks in the development of the series. It is very detailed study of the particular Book.
e.g. John Malrony who was head of the Theology Department of the Australian Catholic University ( now moved to an American University) wrote the commentary to the Gospel of St John. He is a “Johannine Scholar”.
(When you make references in your Thesis, Professors know of the depth of your work!)
It is an execellent collection available is probably all Catholic Libraries.

If I am not mistaken the RSV text is used. I had many of the NT series which for personal reasons; I donated to our lacal Pastoral Instituew. - Highly recommended for the serious student of Sacred Scriptures.

Another very good Commentary Series is the Anchor Bible Study series.- with authors like Raymond Brown, etc.). - Very “heavy” writing approach (In my opinion).

Couldnt agree more Richard.
A very good publication.
I am hoping to take a course with Maloney next year if he comes back to my Uni, as he did this year for a winter intensive.(trust you are suitably jealous)
Also agree with you comments on Anchor.
Also, New Jerome is worth having on the shelf
