I know Christ instituted confession but when was confession a sacrament of the church. Was it at the council of Trent?
The Didache, which I would call the Church’s first Liturgical guidelines, written in the late first century A.D. says this:I know Christ instituted confession but when was confession a sacrament of the church. Was it at the council of Trent?
