Sacraments history

I recognize that the seven sacraments are all Scripturally based, however, I don’t think all seven sacraments were officially recognized at the same time by the early church. If that is correct, is there a source one can go to to find out the official history of Church teachings on these very special sources of grace, healing and holiness?
