So, after having been together for over a year, my bf and I decided call it quits. We’re still good friends, but the distance and religious difference just came to be too much. We also decided that we want to focus on college so that’s what we’re up to right now. Yeah, I’m sad, but I also feel like God had a reason for it and that He has something better in store for me. He gives and takes away.

I knew what it was before opening the topic. I’m sorry to hear that and I’ve already prayed for you. You’ll be strong. At least there was no pathological, traumatising break-up.

Yea, it stinks when you end a relationship. But, you are doing it for all the right reasons. It gets better.

Enjoy your new experiences at college, and keep focused on God.

I will. Please pray for me, because I’m at an “it hurts” moment right now. I know it will be fine, but it’s still early.

I’M SO GLAD TO HEAR YOU SAY THAT GOD KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING… HE REALLY DOES!! I’M SURE HE HAS SOMETHING FANTASTIC INSTORE FOR YOU!! I’LL BE PRAYING FOR YOU…

I’ve been there many many times…yeah, it hurts…a lot. But freshman year is a very different experience, and it’s not a bad thing to experience college life not having an attachment to somebody. Freshman year especially is a time to experience new things and meet different people. The people who say college becomes your new life are completely right; what happened in high school is different and behind you now. Enjoy your freshman year, and I’ll be praying for you!!!

When one door closes another opens. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but eventually. Best of luck to you at college and stay focused on God, you will be fine!!

This may not be your first boyfriend and it may not be your last. Enjoy your time!

I really hope God heals your pain and you find someone wonderful in (God’s) time, that lives close by and shares your faith. I pray you will have a ‘happy ever after’.
God bless

It is hard breaking up. You will be ok, and it is ok to feel sad. Some people around you might not realise just how difficult it is for you right now. Things will get better and you are right, God has a reason for everything.

BIG HUGS!

I know it hurts, but someone is already waiting for you… in the right time. Trust in God and… enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Watch the sun set/sun rise, find a good place in nature to pray (sometimes it’s good to pray outside), listen to the birds, etc. 🙂 An huge hug for you.

I’m very sorry to hear that, sanctamaria17. When God closes a door, He opens a window.

Thanks guys:) I really do see God’s hand in it. I feel very relaxed and happy now because I don’t have to worry about whether we’ll stay together or not. I also like having friendship without the drama of a relationship. His family told me today that they still think of me as a member of the family and still want me to keep coming to their house. To be honest, I really did worry about the what-ifs (if one of us met someone or something like that) and I think that the best way to help each other achieve our dreams is to be good friends and that’s it.
