I got the idea for this thread from the thread about favorite saints. Maybe this thread could be merged with that one?
Have you ever received a miracle after asking a saint to pray for you? Big or small, please tell us about it.
My older daughter is in RCIA this year. Her name is “Evangeline Rose.” The name means “bringer of good news.” And of course, we all know who the Rose is.
My daughter has always been interested in evangelism as a Protestant, and wants to be involved in some kind of ministry that reaches out to a lost world.
My daughter was unable to attend most of the RCIAs in her city, because she is a theater professional and almost always works during the evening. So the diocese found her a parish that has RCIA on Sunday morning–St. Alphonsus Liguori. This church is a Redemptorist parish; the Redemptorists, in simple language, concentrate on evangelizing, or sharing the Gospel.
What a perfect fit with my daughter’s name! When she learned who the Redemptorists were and what their goals are, she started crying for joy.
I believe the Blessed Mother interceded and obtained the favor from her Son of having my daughter attend a church that is a perfect fit for her.
