Saint John Henry Newman was one of the greatest minds of the 19th century. His teaching seems to be made more for our time than any time previous.
Relative to Marian Devotion, I think he may be the best guide available since the Protestant revolt. He provides, with remarkable thoughtfulness, an alternative to extreme voices and minimalist voices … much to learn from his writings.
