1 cor 2-4 saint Paul said

I came not with mans wisdom but with the power of the holy spirit

What does you faith rest or is based on?

Yesterday I met a person who said they and their daughter USED to be Christians

But it was just theological thought to them

Have you met people like this?
 
My faith is a gift from God. It rests on that gift of grace, my knowledge and reasoning, and my personal experience in relationship with God and His Church…in that order.

No, I have not met people, personally, like the ones you describe. I have a relatively small circle of friends and acquaintances and almost all are faithful Catholics.
 
We have probably all met people like this.
Pray for them.
