Saint Paul says "desire to prophecy" how about you?

Saint Paul says desire to prophecy.
Do you know people in your church that has that gift?
I know people who pray for people and then tell them what the holy spirit is showing then.

How about you?

No. Not on an ongoing basis. Of course, I, and others I know, recognize when God is speaking through someone, (even me!) But I don’t know anyone who goes around saying, “Thus saith the Lord …” I think that would be a special calling, above and beyond ordinary, day-to-day Christian prophecy.

Going through your post history, you’ve literally asked this exact same question like 4 times in the past 2 months on 4 different threads.

Is there a reason you keep asking this over and over? Or any particular reason you don’t accept the answers your given?

I gave you a long list in one of those threads on the Catholic teaching of Prophecy.

I will again give you a Prophetic utterance:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

I just prophesied to you - every single baptized Christian has the gift of prophecy, though some to a greater or lesser degree.

And here’s what the Holy Spirit is showing you from the prophecy I just uttered: Jesus has existed as the eternal Logos from eternity and to eternity.

As saint Paul intended it to be…
Exhortation. And comfort. Or revelation.

It is common among baptized Christians.

Many Christians prophesy without knowing they are prophesying, because they simply don’t understand what prophecy is or they don’t realize God is speaking through them at that moment.

Even the Gospel of John records a prophecy being uttered with the person prophesying being ignorant of the fact that they were giving an Oracle of the LORD.

John 11:49-52
“But one of them, named Caiphas, being the high priest that year, said to them: You know nothing.
Neither do you consider that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
And this he spoke not of himself: but being the high priest of that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation.
And not only for the nation, but to gather together in one the children of God, that were dispersed.”

Yes you are correct . religiously educated people can be spirituality blind.

That is why sid. Roth. On its supernatural.
Can be a learning education environment . to observe . and develop what is possible.
Of the believers authority.
