Saint who most recently died, anyone know?

Hi guys, I’m wondering which saint died the most recently. I know Jose Maria Escriva was pretty recent, as was Padre Pio. I’m talking about saints who have been officially Canonized. Any help would be appreciated.

Mother Teresa, 8/26/1910 - 9/5/1997) has been beatified, which is the final step prior to canonization.

That’s true, but we don’t know how long that will take. Pope JP II is also going to be beatified next year.

I found a nice page with information about canonizations source]. It shows several saints who died in the 1960s:

Gaetano Catanoso (d.1963)
Gianna Beretta Molla (d.1962)
Pio de Pietrelcina (Padre Pio) (d.1968)
Gorg Preca (d.1962)

And I see one who died in the 1970s:

Josemaria Escriva da Balaguer (d.1974)
