Saints sinned seven times a day?

Does anyone know who said that or its variant?

Whenever someone tells me they don’t sin, I want to cite sometime like that but I need a reference for them. I heard Padre Pio mentioned but I’m not sure if he was referencing someone.

Perhaps you mean Proverbs 24:16:
For a just man shall fall seven times and shall rise again: but the wicked shall fall down into evil.

I like this. We are deceived if we think we don’t sin daily even venial sins.

However, venial sins do not separate us from God.
As for mortal sins I do not believe most people commit mortal sins daily.
