Saints Who Spent Much Time in Eucharistic Adoration

Specifically, I was wondering if there are Saints who spent more than one hour per day in Eucharistic adoration. Also, what Saints do you know that were the most devoted to adoring the Blessed Sacrament in holy hours or otherwise. I am wondering if adoration for more than one hour per day is excessive but I suppose it might depend on your state in life etcetera.

Is there a time limit on Eucharistic Adoration?

Most times I have felt one hour is not enough time. You can spend as much time as you desire.

I think it is up to each individual as to how much time they want to spend. I would not judge how much time anyone wants to spend in Adoration.

Thanks everyone. These are wonderful saints. Perhaps a deeper question I was pondering is whether a person may grow in holiness in proportion to the time spent in adoration. By this I do not mean to imply that a person cannot grow in holiness by other means.

I definitely believe a person can grow in holiness in proportion to the time spent in adoration as long as their hearts and minds are open to the graces that can be bestowed to you.

Thankyou, 7 Sorrows. I see also that St. Gems can most definitely be included among the saints who had extraordinary devotion to adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

I am sure there are many saints who have been devoted to the adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

I wish every church could have Perpetual Adoration, but I understand why it is not possible. I am fortunate that my church has an adoration chapel open 24 hours.

All true. But at the same time, we get just as much grace and Jesus is just as pleased to see us when we visit him in his humble dwelling, the tabernacle. I’m sure you know this already.

You might wish to look up Saint Benedict Joseph Labre as well as Saint Peter Julian Eymard…they tend to be lesser known.

Yes, I was going to mention St. Perter Julian Eymard.

I used to like reading about him when I would spend time in Adoration.

He had a very great devotion to the Eucharist.

I believe that St. John Vianney-Cure d’Ars also is another saint who was devoted to Adoration, if I am not mistaken.
