I am in RCIA currently, converting from Presbyterianism and will be confirmed in about two weeks. However, there is one issue that is still on my heart, and I am having trouble with it.
Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light, and that no one comes to the father but through him.
Why is it then, that Catholics ask saints for help? Shouldn’t we be asking Jesus, or even just the Lord? Aren’t Catholics placing saints on the same level as God? Is this morally right?
I apologize for just bursting in here with this question and not introducing myself in a post first, but I would really like to know the answer to this question soon, and before I make such a serious commitment.
Thank you,
Elizabeth
