It seems as if it’s almost impossible to get to heaven. Jesus says in the Bible that very few will enter heaven. The only people that we know are in heaven are the Saints, who slept on the floor, were killed in the name of the Lord, prayed all night, preached in the cities, and other things that we simply aren’t able to do as normal people. It seems impossible to enter Heaven. Can somebody maybe explain this better? Perhaps us an explanation to say that it’s not impossible?

Also, as a side note, how do you type in a quote that you’ll see at the bottom of my messages?

Love God an do what you please. For then you will do what pleases God. Can you eradicate sin in your life? No, Therefore ask God to eradicate the sin in your life. You can** not** do it alone. So…get to work on this.

The fact that you want to get to heaven tells me God is working in you. Trust in that.

Remeber despair comes staight from the pit. You want to touch God? Then repeat “I love God through Christ” repeatedly. Especially so if you do not 'feel; it. The Spirt helps you do this very thing. Indeed! Can you even say(pray) such a statement without the Spirit;s help? Methinks not. Demons can never say such things. God will complete the good work in you. Trust HIm.

Saints are Saints. I am not such. I strive to be such. If God calls me to be saint I will be Saint. If not then I will not be. I just try to love God. That is all that matters to me really.

Your worries are veering close to the heresy called Jansenism (or Calvinism). This doctrine says that men are so depraved and sinful that we can’t really do anything unless God pushes us into holiness. Jansen’s writings were taken to mean that it is impossible for us to become saints without Grace doing almost everything for us. Now you obviously haven’t said that, but your worries are close enough to it.

Please, please, please don’t say that the things the saints did are things that we “normal people” cannot do. The saints saw themselves as normal human beings, too: sinners. They believed fervently that they were just average sinners, or the worst sinners in the world… but they never despaired or lost hope in God’s mercy. His grace is needed, of course, but our co-operation is necessary. We can co-operate with God, and we must do it! You say normal people aren’t able to sleep on the cold, hard floor and preach the gospel… why not? Have you ever tried doing those things? Don’t throw it away before you’ve even had a chance to test the waters, as it were!

Never give in to fear and despair of salvation. Satan just loves to drag us down over stupid worries that make no sense. God is GOD! Nothing is impossible with Him, in His glory, majesty, justice, and mercy.

On the contrary we know of saints in every walk of life who died peacefully in their beds after lives of heroic virtue. Is it easy for everyone to become a saint? No. Is it possible? Yes, that is why we were created.

It seems to me that this might be your problem! I know it was mine… and still is to some extent!.

Playing games for hours on end may be fun, but it is not conducive to saintly growth. It’s very difficult to complain about holiness when you’re off playing video games for “hours and hours”! I only treat this with levity because I know it’s one of my own problems, since M2 is a very fun game… but I don’t let it destroy my prayer-life. It seems to me that your enjoyment of the things of the world (even if just in video games) may be impeding your progress in the saintliness you so desire. St. Dominic never would have played M2:TW , but went out smackin’ down heretics with the army of light, and the piercing sword of truth.

No no no, I wasn’t being serious. I was just joking because it is an extremely fun and addicting game in which you can spend hours on without realizing if you’re not careful. I don’t actually have the game. And recently, I find myself playing less and less of video games and cracking down more on school.
