What did you DO to BECOME his uncle.

Was maintaining adequate performance a condition of remaining a nephew?

Laudatur Iesus Christus.

I did nothing to deserve my uncle’s relationship to me. It was the result of the action of one of my relatives before I was born.

The relationship did not guarantee me a wage, or an inheretance, those were contingent on my uncle’s generosity, will, and actions.

The job ended when I left it, thinking that I was going on to better things.

The relationship ended when my aunt died. When death parted that marriage, my uncle ceased to be my uncle.

Real relationships are compex, reciprocal, and involve more than two people.
