Is the issue of homosexual marriages (or relationships) a social and civil rights issue the same as interracial-interethnic marriages (or relationships)? Share your thoughts.

Race is an artificial classification. Skin color, hair texture and other features vary dramatically in all races. A ‘white’ person may have darker skin or more curly hair than a ‘black’ person. Thus the idea of prohibiting a male of one race to marry a female of another was based only on appearance and an artificial designation. Further racism is a great evil and prohibiting ‘interracial’ marriage promotes an evil.

In contrast two men of different races are biologically the same. Two females likewise. There is no basis for allowing two males or females to designate their relationship as a marriage. There is no biological, historical, traditional or religious basis. Marriage has always been male/female and they are not interchangeable. Further no great evil results if Dick and Harry can’t get married. The entire concept is utterly absurd.

I think what we need to be asking ourselves is “Which one of these is morally wrong?” When we read the bible, we learn of the Old Tesament cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and we come to learn that there were destoryed for their sins against chasity. By participating in their homosexual acts, God became upset and finailly got fed up with it. He leads the one good family out of the two cities, and then rains fire down upon the cities, destroying them completely. If this is not proof enough to show that homosexuality and homosexual marriage is sinful, I think there is something seriously wrong with some people.
 
If interracial marriage was the same as same-sex “marriage”, there would be no multi-racial children.
Obviously, there is a major difference.

Yes good point! A homosexual ‘marriage’ cannot produce a child within its own parameters. An interracial marriage certainly can. Trying to equate the two is like homosexual ‘marriage,’ a complete absurdity.

Is anyone else INCREDIBLY weary of homosexuals trying to justify their continued participation in an unnatural, unhealthy, and non-life affirming behavior? If alcoholics, drug addicts or others involved in deviant behaviors were trying to promote their ‘lifestyle’ they would be laughed off the stage. How did we allow this tiny group of deviants to in effect take over the judiciary and the airwaves?

Is anyone similiarly impressed as me with the obvious fact that the plumbing just doesn’t fit? Until someone can show me otherwise, I need no more baseline convincing that homosexual unions are asunder in more ways than one.

What is so obvious and fundamental is dismissed by so many enlightened folks.
 
Literally speaking, homosexuality is unnatural, abnormal, deviant and degenerate. On a personal basis I find it disgusting. There is not much we can about what goes on behind closed doors but we can certainly let our feelings be known. Keep it our of our churches, our schools and society in general.

So what about “famous” homosexuals like the actress Ellen Degenres (I think this is how her last name is spelled), who has said on more than one occasion that homosexual marriage/dating is the same as a “black person and white person getting married”? I mean there are many pro-Homosexual marriage activists visible in the media attempting to compare the two situations as the same! They are saying it is a social and civil right issue! They are claiming for example: that socially a marriage of man + man = White woman + Asian man; or woman + woman = Black man + Hispanic woman; and Syrian (Muslim) man + Israeli (Jewish) woman, etc. They are saying socially … homosexual marriage = interracial-interethnic marriage. Watch any homosexual marriage activist in the media long enough and I guarantee all of you they will eventually play this card.

What about them? They either have totally deluded themselves by the worst kind of rationalization, or they are stone liars. There is no other explanation!

There is only one race - the human race. There are many cultures, and many combinations of skin tone, hair color, etc, but only one human race.

Sigh! :tsktsk: The lies people will tell themselves to try to feel good about the wrong they espouse!

They may play the card, but that does not mean that it’s a particularly rational card for them to play.
