Can we just ban San Francisco?
**San Francisco to Boot JROTC Programs
**High schools across the city soon will no longer have Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps programs after officials decided to eliminate them because of the Pentagon’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy regarding gay service members.
The Board of Education voted 4-2 late Tuesday to phase out the JROTC from schools over the next two years, despite protest from hundreds of students who rallied outside the meeting.

I went to a Catholic high school in New Orleans. The whole student body became a corps of Naval cadets (NJROTC) in my junior year - 1967. I would not have traded that experience for anything. When I enlisted in the Navy in 1971, boot camp was not a problem for me. The two years of NJROTC had already taught me what I needed to know. And no, we, the student body, didn’t have a choice in the matter. The Brothers decided and it was so. And I am better because of it.

I saw this last night on the local news. The opponents just can’t (or won’t) see how ridiculous they looked holding up signs that said “teach peace” and preaching “tolerance” while bringing kids to tears because of their intolerant and hostile attitude.

That’s life here.

Pax vobiscum!

This was just the top story on O’Reilly tonight. The columnist from San Francisco that he had as one of the guests said that San Francisco says they’re all about choice but only if you choose what they want you to. She said, “If this was about teens having abortions, they’d be all for choice there.”

In Christ,
Rand

This is the same city who greeted me upon my return from Vietnam in 1967. I was standing in the Greyhound bus station in San Francisco, waiting for a bus home, justly proud of my uniform and decorations, grateful to be home alive after so many of my comrades had died. A rather elderly lady approached me, looked me up and down with menace in her eye and loudly asked me how many villages I had burned and how many children I had killed. I have never forgotten that day and I have not and will not set foot in that accursed city. In my opinion, any and all Federal monies accruing to San Francisco should stop immediately.

Even the 49ers are leaving.
And the Mayor is threatening to withold any additional provisions that wouldn’t put fans in danger (???) if they do decide to move further south. That’s their idea of “hardball”. Makes one want to reconsider moving the team huh?

It’s a constant source of “entertainment” here.

While in uniform in this “tolerant” city in the 1960’s I was spit at and cursed. I agree that SF should not receive Federal moneys or security as long as they deny the armed forces the right to recrute or train in their schools.

If San Francisco is attacked, they’re on their own. If they want to cut themselves off, let them. Liberalism IS a mental disorder - these wackos only confirms that even more.
