How big a part in sanctification is the active love of neighbour (like helping in a shelter for the homeless) and the active love of God, prayer? I would guess it’s individual but I’m interested in your views.
Jesus tells us to love God and your neighbor. Obvisously, it is very important to love your neighbor.
I’ve started to help homeless and find so much love in doing it. In my mind, I am helping Jesus Himself. One day, I started to pray to the Lord to guide me and take me to the path of the needy. Next thing I knew, I ran into so many of them - the poor, the sickness, the non-profit organization doing good cause for God, and I am thankful for that.

Most of my “love your neighbor” activity is with Alcoholics Anonymous. I try to balance this with prayer. All things in moderation, except for moderation itself
