I’ve heard it said that Satan is the greatest theologian (cannot quite remember the source). Comments?

Perhaps it was in referance to him being “the Father of Lies” and his ability to distort and obscure absolute truths so that millions are unknowingly (perhaps) following him instead of the Lord.
What qualifies one as being a theologian?

This might be referring to when Satan was tempting Jesus in the wilderness. It’s very possible that Satan knows the Scriptures better than any of us humans.

To be considered a Doctor of the Church one must also be a saint. Satan obviously needs some work in this area.
