Saying Praise the Lord

Recently have come across a Priest in my parish who during the sermon of the mass tells about miracles he has seen and then says Praise the Lord three times. This happens many a time. I found this very annoying/distracting as people who are listening tend to say it as well, time to time. I feel like I am in one of those Protestant churches. Is this allowed to happen? Given that Mass is the strict liturgy.

You may not like the phrase, but there’s really nothing that requires nor prohibits a priest from using particular words in his homily.
