hi i have a rosary but i want to say it properly i know i cant be fast or slow but sometimes i mess up the words and dont want to start all over again because of that mess up and i get distracted do you have to pray a rosary a certain way. also how should you take care of your rosary like not throwing it around recklessly or dropping it, etc.

The Rosary Prayers are prayers, meditations. You can pray as fast or as slowly as you wish. If you mess up the words, do not fret. Even after decades of praying the rosary I mess up words often. It is prayer, not a scientific formula that has to be exactly just so.

A good steward takes care of their possessions, so intentionally throwing your rosary against the wall or smacking it against a rock would be contrary to good stewardship. If you drop your rosary or get it tangled in your purse/pocket, do not fret.

We worship God, not the beads.

thanks also how should i meditate the mysteries should i visualize the scene and place myself in the scene of the mystery sometimes i visualize scenes from the bible miniseries that history channel did i wonder if thats how i should be meditating the mysteries

thank you all it makes it easier for me to pray the rosary ill keep what is here while i pray thank you and God Bless all of you. Amen

So the Rosary is a treasure.
Normally you begin with the Apostles Creed on the crucifix, and then an Our Father on the first bead, and then three Hail Mary’s for the increase of faith, hope, and charity. Next you say the Glory Be. You begin now on the first bead and say an our father, ten hail Mary’s, the Glory Be, and some add the Fatima Prayer. You do this for the five mysteries of the day. You finish by saying a Hail Holy Queen and then the closing prayer and then can add any prayer you want.
Traditionally there are 15 mysteries of the Rosary grouped into five, the Joyful, Glorious, and Sorrowful. These days theres an optional set called the Luminous as well. Glorious are said on Sunday and Wednesday, Joyful on Monday and Saturday, Sorrowful on Tuesday and Fridays, and Luminous on Thursdays.

Look up the Let’s pray a perpetual rosary thread here. It’s never far from the top 10.
I use it in my rosary devotion almost every day
People have posted lovely images of the mysteries plus daily intentions.
I came to the end of the Joyful mysteries tonight and hardly had noticed the time passing at all
