I have a friend that used to be Catholic and now she is a protestant and she is pro gay and pro gay marriage (she is not gay she just supports them) She calls me and the Catholic Church bigoted and full of hate.
I explained to her that the Bible clearly states that being gay is an abomination to God. I also explained to her if a gay person remains celebate or even gets married to someone of the opposite sex they would not be commiting a sin. It’s only a sin if you act on your gay feelings.
She said she agrees with everything but the first part (homosexuality being an abomination to God) and I told her that if she has a problem with that she has a problem with the Bible. She said she does have a problem with the Bible.
My question is how can one say they are a Christian (even a protestant) if they think the Bible is wrong on something that the Bible makes so very clear?
