I agree Della. That’s why OCD (the illness, not the order ) people like me usually have a hard time with this stuff. Incidentally, I have found a bit of irony in the initials OCD.

Yes, OCD is ironic. Being I am O. Carm. and not OCD, it doesn’t affect me, but I’ve noticed none of my OCD acquaintances ever mention the similarity between the order and the disorder.

Alright one last question (maybe I am OCD with this?)

I posted this in the apologetics too, ebcause I am concerned with my Douay Rheims translation that Mary will crush the head of the serpent. But the NAB states HE as in Jesus will. The investure prayer for the Brown Scapular states this:

“We beseech Her to crush the head of the ancient serpent so that you may enter into possession of your eternal heritage through Christ our Lord.”

Does the Catholic Church think Mary will destroy Satan? I don’t think that to be accurate at all. Jesus will crush the serpent not Mary, but the investiture states otherwise.

I can use some help, this has me a bit confused, thanks

I think it may be 2 ways of saying the same thing. Mary does nothing on her own.
