“Actual Grace” is the promptings of the Holy Spirit to turn towards God. It can be received by those who can receive no other Grace because of the lack of Baptism. Those who are in Mortal sin also receive Actual Grace to prompt them to reconcile with God and be restored to Sacramental Grace.
I’m sorry, We receive Grace in the amount that we are capable of receiving. The disposition of our soul is determined by how well we are prepared to receive a Sacrament, If we receive a Sacrament in Mortal sin we receive no grace and commit additional sin. However if we receive a Sacrament in venial sin the grace we receive is limited by the effect of that sin. It’s like this. The water in a pitcher is God’s Grace. We might receive with venial sin or improper disposition our water in a glass. With the proper disposition and free of all sin we might receive in what might be looked at as a bucket. In both instances we receive Grace but amount is determined by our ability to receive it.Bro. Rich,
I have reread your message several times and I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. What does the disposition of one’s soul mean and what is an “Actual Grace?” Thank you.
