Can a Green Scapular be made to fall front and back like a Brown Scapular, or must it in all cases be made with only one piece hanging in the front?

I ask because I learned embroidery and made one, wanting one that was extra durable. Many of the pictures I’d found to follow were confusing and made it look as if it was constructed like a Brown Scapular.

My priest has already blessed it. Do I need to disassemble it, or can it be used as it is?

Much thanks in advance,
Antaine

Traditionally we don’t wear a green scapular the same way we do a brown scapular. Brown scapulars are specifically meant to be worn, while green scapulars have a broader range of use. But I have heard of people wearing them.

What you’ve made is fine; no need to disassemble it. 🙂

I think your ok with wearing the green scapular like the brown scapular. In my opinion though since the brown scapular was the first one, the most important to the church and given to the world by the Blessed Virgin Mary.
