Since the thread has deteriorated into the discussion of cannibalism, time to inject some new life into it. Ambrose Bierce, the great American writer had a wonderful book titled the Devil’s Dictionary, in which the following entries appeared:
Pray (v.): To ask that the laws of the universe be annulled in behalf of a single petitioner, confessedly unworthy.
Koran (n.): A book which the Mohammedans foolishly believe to have been written by divine inspiration, but which Christians know to be a wicked imposture, contradictory to the Holy Scriptures.
And before anyone would get upset that these are caricatures… they are certainly sarcastic, but that does not make them incorrect. A good caricature can reveal much more than a dry, scholarly analysis. It is quite funny to see the indignant exclamation that something is a caricature… because it is the surefire indication that there is no valid, logical rebuttal to it. The cheap shot: “that does not deserve an answer, since it is just a carucature” only reveals the impotence of the poster.
