QUESTION FOR ALL,

How do I respond back to my relative regarding this comment about Teri Schaivo? I am very Pro-Life and believe in life from Conception until Natural Death.

Your cousin took a feeding tube out of her 25 day old infant daughter because she could not eat on her own. My father was not given a feeding tube because he could not swallow on his own. I do not believe we killed these people. We let them die as God wanted and they left to be with him.

If Terri’s family believes so much in God why would they not want her to be with him. If God wants her to live she will live without a feeding tube.

Everyone starves to death at the end unless they have a fatal heart attack or are in an accident where they are killed instantly. Your grandfather starved to death, My mother starved to death. That is what happens when you have cancer or some other fatal illness. You don’t just die. You starve to death and you wait for all your body organs to stop working.

I watched my father die and we prayed with him and talked to him about his journey and it was a beautiful experience.

Let Terri go to God if they love her.

Terri wasn’t dying, not until they started starving her. Also,do you believe someones life is less meaningful if they are disabled?Someone with cancer is harmed byfood the body is shutting down.Terri could live for 40 more years. If they would cease the starvation which is active murder. As Christians we are suppose to take up our cross,is Terri a cross to people because they are uncomfortable with the disabled?Iwas thirsty and you gave me no drink:nope: Jesus:crying:

Here is my response back…

Relative,

The Terri Shaivo Case is very unique. The difference is that Terri Schiavo is not dying. Yes, she is disabled. Yes, she is said to be unable to feed herself. Her family says it might be possible to spoon-feed her, but her guardian (the adulterous husband, Michael) will not permit it. Terri could live for another 40 years. Denying her food and water will kill herit will not “allow her to die.” There comes a time when death is near and the body no longer is able to digest food. At that point, yes, such feeding becomes ineffective and a burden. That does not describe Terri Schiavo.

If you want to know what it’s like to be unable to communicate and have a feeding tube removed, read the story of Kate Adamson (she was on Fox Cable News Hannity & Colmes last night as well as Sean Hannity’s radio show yesterday - katesjourney.com/). This happened to her. The feeding was resumed, and she recovered. Today, she talks about listening to conversations in her room. She couldn’t talk, but she heard every word from those planning to end her life.

Yes, God can do whatever He wants. And we may make mistakes in cases where there is a lack of clear direction. But if we err, let it be on the side of an innocent human being’s life. We have no record of Terri Schiavo saying she “didn’t want to live like that” – only the word of her husband Michael, who currently lives with another woman with whom he has fathered two children. This also is no accident this battle is taking place during “Holy Week”.

Here is how my relative responded back…

I have read it and understand more but this paragraph Terri is a Catholic and the Catechism of the Catholic Church defines Euthanasia as, “An action or an omission which, of itself or by
intention, causes the death of handicapped, sick, or dying persons – sometimes with an attempt to justify the act as a means of eliminating suffering.

Does this mean we euthanised our baby and my dad and my mother because we didn’t feed them?

How should I respond back??
