I am currently going through the RCIA proceeds I have a 6 (first grade) and 8 (3rd grade) year old who have never been baptized. What is the process for them? I know children usually do their first communion around this time but since my kids haven’t been baptized what is the process?

Have you talked to your RCIA director about this? That would be the place to start. The ordinary procedure would be for children the age of yours would be for them to undergo instruction and formation similar as you are except it would be geared for children and then they would be baptized, make their first communion, and be confirmed at the Easter Vigil along with the adults. Many parishes schedule the children’s portion at the same time as the adult so that children and parents can attend at the same time if it is at a convenient hour. Both groups can then be together for prayer and certain other events. Other times the children’s portion is held at a more convenient hour, especially for younger school age and/or neither parent is going through RCIA.

Speak to your pastor.

The 6 year old can be brought into the Church under infant baptism. The 8 year old can be brought into the Church if they ask for baptism, those over 7 are no longer infants and parents do not make profession of faith on their behalf, they just do so themselves to be baptized.
