Horrible news just now that a gunman went into an Amish school and killed at least 6 children. What is happening to our world? These are lovely, peaceful people who don’t even have a police department because they have no crime. How does one reconcile oneself to horrific acts such as this?

I don’t know. But we need to pray for the victims and their families.

You can’t reconcile it, because it is beyond the bounds of rational behavior.

But we live in a violent society, and we should remember that this country somehow reconciles itself to the death of 3,000 babies a day in the abortuaries.

I think that a gunman who somehow thinks he is justified in killing six children, and our societal condoning of abortion are, in fact, related.
