My estranged sister is in a bad way morally right now, in addition to converting to mainstream worldly-spirited Protestantism, and I am in the position of trying to figure out how to conduct her moral intellect along the right lines…especially in the domain of moral theology and the subfield of Christianly valid and acceptable sexual mores, as it relates to “birth control”/contraception, and so on–typical modern decadence.
The specifically slightly troublesome issue is, the Protestant sect she apostatized away from Catholicism into are HARDCORE “SOLA SCRIPTURA” LITERALIST-“BIBLIOLATERS” in the EXTREME. I confronted their lead-pastor, and he is slitheringly shrewd, so I have to be extremely subtly intelligent about this problem.
My estranged sister, who I ardently want to welcome back into the fold, is currently engaging in “birth control” and/or contraception. I find this tragic reality spiritually, personally and psychologically abominable and unendurable and I’m going to do whatever I can to uplift her soul.
Thus, Tradition and Reason are a priori excluded in any dialogue of conversion with her, as only pure SCRIPTURE, literal biblical passages only and exclusively will she accept in her own increasingly hardened mind-set…
Bewitched in modern degeneracy, she self-confidently tells me, “There is NO Scripture showing or indicating birth control/contraception is at all morally wrong”…
Thus, my only hope is indisputably pristine clear Scriptural evidence against life-suppressing, lust-promoting birth control/contraception…and only upon presentation of such textual evidence will she even begin to consider reforming her once-chaste, once-pure-as-snow self…
So I am asking for all the help I can get from forum-members, almost desperately! After all, a soul is at stake…
I am presently manically researching the Bible, and slowly marshaling Scriptural evidence against birth control/contraception, but I am not perfect, and would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart if any heroic and incisive assistance was charitably offered here…
So far I have this:
Genesis 1:28: “Be fruitful and multiply.”
Genesis 18 and 19–the tale of Sodom’s fiery God-sent destruction due to its abuse of human sexuality in inverted homosexual vice. Generalize logically to all willfully life-suppressing sexual acts in terms of moral illicitness and morally-deplorable nature…
Genesis 20:18 and 29:31 indirectly imply God is the only one possessing the moral right to “open or close” the “womb”…
Genesis 38–the story of Onan and God’s death-punishment handed out to him. Denatured, unnatural sexuality annihilated in Heaven-sent Punishment. Extrapolate moral principle of not misusing sexual powers egocentrically, abusively and immorally…outside of the natural, God-ordained context and Deific teleology…
Okay, I am losing focus. Time to go to New Testament for now…
-Romans 1 and 2–St. Paul’s uncompromising, manfully forceful and powerful total moral condemnation and bloody-worded absolute moral proscription of unnatural sexuality in the form of sodomy/homosexual vice. Scripture teaches us we are to use our Reason and inborn sense of conscience, in fact. The “natural law”, the “Lex Primordialis” of God we are called to conform to Christianly in complete abhorrence of such-like immoral, spiritually-dysfunctional and evilly subhuman behaviors, guided by the “law written on our hearts” autotelically and spontaneously… Unnatural sexuality is a cancerous and hopeless revolt against the Creation of God, it is to be inferred… All other theoretical species and varieties of anti-natalist or “psycho-spiritually pathological” sexuality working against the normative, preexisting cosmic Divine Pattern and *Ordo * are deducibly and resultantly likewise proscribed utterly according to simple logic…
Okay, my eyes are shutting for lack of sleep, but if there are any “saints-in-progress” out there who could help me I would infinitely appreciate such magnanimity. Basically, I need to find and collate ANY and ALL biblical-textual sources relating to the misuse or abuse of human sexuality, how sexuality devoid of openness to life-transmission, the generative aspect sliced off nihilist-style, overturns the Deity’s plan for human sexuality–and corrupts the practitioners of such misconduct in perdition of spirit! Anti-natural and/or anti-natalist sexuality constitutes a metaphysically disordered separatist insurgence against God, symbolically…muddying our inmost essence in filthiness…inevitably ending in self-defeat…
I am vitally interested in any biblical-scriptural sources and citations relevant to the matter at hand, especially those unambiguously morally condemning sexual disorder, barren sexual lust, life-denying sexuality and perverted lasciviousness, etc., and the “contraceptive mentality” by logical extension… Anything remotely helpful-seeming in my quest to re-purify my once-chaste sister’s heart by weaning her off of the spiritual-moral soul-viruses of unnatural sexuality, “birth control” and “contraception”, and convincingly state the case for Temperance, Chastity and Pious Self-Discipline rather than submitting to brutish, godless fleshliness…rather sheer Abstinence than beastliness!..
