I would like to know of scripture verses about conception or life in the womb. I already have Sirach 50: 22-24 , Psalm 127:3 , Psalm 127: 4-5 , Deuteronamy 30:19
Or maybe you could direct me to a previous thread of the same question? I tried a search and it did not come through with anything.

And Jeremiah 1:5 I think is the best, most definitive verse that indicates NOT ONLY that life begins at conception BUT that God has for all eternity known us in His heart and willed us to exist.

To Jeremiah, a prophet and a sinner, He says:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.”

In Luke 1:36, the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary that Elizabeth, her kinswoman, had conceived and was in her sixth month. Mary set out immediately to assist her. St. John the Baptist in Elizabeth’s womb, recognized Jesus in Mary’s womb, and leapt for joy.

When we realize that a six-month fetus (St. John) had the capability of recognizing Jesus who would have been less than one-month’s development in the womb at the time of Mary’s holy visit, I just cannot grasp the idea of anyone thinking it is permissible to destroy the fruit of the womb, AT ANY STAGE WHATSOEVER!

May these two holiest of women intercede for those who have forgotten or disregarded the sacredness of life.

Here is an extremely interesting scripture, and one that is not often known, but which is directly applicable to the killing of an unborn baby.

Exodus 21:22
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine…

It gives God’s remedy for those who destroy unborn babies. THe FATHER is to decide the punishment AND the judges shall cooperate with him in punishing the perpetrator! How far backwards has America gone ?!

I don’t know if you will think this fits but I would like to direct you to Chapter 23 of Luke where Jesus says to the sorrowful women " Do not cry for me but for yourselves and for your children, for the days are coming when they will say “Blessed are the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed”

That is my own paraphrase from memory. Certainly those days are here and the hearts of women cry for their lost children.

Genesis 25

22 But the children struggled in her womb: and she said: If it were to be so with me, what need was there to conceive? And she went to consult the Lord.

Genesis 25

24 And when her time was come to be delivered, behold twins were found in her womb.

Genesis 38

27 And when she was ready to be brought to bed, there appeared twins in her womb: and in the very delivery of the infants, one put forth a hand, whereon the midwife tied a scarlet thread, saying:

Numbers 12

12 Let her not be as one dead, and as an abortive that is cast forth from the mother’s womb. Lo, now one half of her flesh is consumed with the leprosy.

Judges 13

5 Because thou shalt conceive and bear a son, and no razor shall touch his head: for he shall be a Nazarite of God, from his infancy, and from his mother’s womb, and he shall begin to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines.

Judges 16

17 Then opening the truth of the thing, he said to her: The razor hath never come upon my head, for I am a Nazarite, that is to say, consecrated to God from my mother’s womb: if my head be shaven, my strength shall depart from me, and I shall become weak, and shall be like other men.

Psalms 70

6 By thee have I been confirmed from the womb: from my mother’s womb thou art my protector. Of thee shall I continually sing:

Psalms 126

3 Behold the inheritance of the Lord are children: the reward, the fruit of the womb.

Luke 1

44 For behold as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.

Luke 1

41 And it came to pass, that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

Luke 1

42 And she cried out with a loud voice, and said: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

How is this?
