My daughter has joined a sorority in her first year of college. It is a service oriented group promoting academic and civic excellence. Her protestant friend and roommate has opted not to room with her in the future because she says scripture forbids association with secret societies and she considers the Greek sororities/fraternities among those to be avoided.
I don’t doubt there is a passage or two in scripture which could be construed to convey such a message, particularly with Protestant self-interpretation, but does anyone know of scripture passages which would support my daughter’s participation that she could respond to her friend with?
